Master Berry, This was the first year that we were able to attend the Anniversary Party. It was a lot of fun! I wanted to tell you about two incidents that occurred today that really demonstrated what Official Master Berry Tae Kwon Do Kids are all about! Unfortunately Cage was a little overtired and cranky at the party. He just was not himself. When the Piñata that he was in line for got broken open and all of the kids scrambled for candy, he was not able to get in the mix and so he got upset, moved to the side and started crying. When this happened, at least 3 or 4 kids from his group walked over to him and gave him a handful of their candy, without any prompting from adults! The second incident was when we were leaving, Ryder and I were walking by ourselves back toward the parking lot. He tripped over a branch and stood back up and started limping. While I was making sure he was okay (he is fine), I noticed an older boy watching us. As I was maneuvering all of the things I was carrying and picking Ryder up to carry him to the car, the young man came over and asked if Ryder was okay. Most boys would not have even noticed a small incident like that, not to mention show concern and take the time to check on us! I do not even know who he was, but it was so nice, and I left with a smile on my face. It is so nice to be a part of a school that is also a family. The older the boys get, the more families we know and recognize. We felt so comfortable at the party and look forward to attending again in future years. Congratulations on 9 years, Sir!
