A Day in the History of the R.T. Berry School:

     Since May 14th, 2001, there have been many first's and not so many last's.  Today, we mark (hopefully) the last 'HOME' Tournament in our current building.  Next year at our first HOME tournament we will be back to all first's.  This building has provided us some INCREDIBLE memories that will long last in our history of the School.  Our new and real HOME will provide many many years of more "AWESOMENESS!", and we are all looking forward to it. 

CONGRATULATIONS to the R.T. Berry School, Family, and Community on this AWESOME Step!

Our New Home is coming along quickly and looking AWESOME!  Since we are not building the building, I don't have an EXACT date of completion, but I wanted to let everyone know what to expect as we get closer to the big move.

You can Expect:

The R.T. Berry School's OFFICIAL MARCH from our current building to the new one.  All families will be invited to 'MARCH' the American Flag through our current building to hang it up in the new building.  (possibly as soon as early November?)

An AWESOME tour of our AWESOME new home.

An OPEN HOUSE and BIG Master Berry Party! 

Congratulations to our Newest Black Belts and their families!

     The School's 13th Black Belt Testing was a HUGE SUCCESS!  Thank you to all of the families for your trust over the past years in allowing us to continue to grow strong together.  I wish I could take your thoughts and emotions that night, and play them on a TV for all families to see what the results of your continued trust and support are!  They would be AMAZED!  Thank you for that. 

     To the 'nine':  Thank you for your years of hard work, and being such strong students.  Watching you grow in character and discipline, assures me of your place in the future as a success to the communities you will live in.   We train hard, and together; and I look forward to continuing to grow strong together!  To sum my thoughts of the weekend up... very proud.

Thank you to ALL OF THE FAMILIES that were able to attend the Boone trip!  It was an AWESOME Time!  For any students and families that didn't make it this year, we took TONS of pictures and they are going to be posted in the lobby to share all the awesome memories. 

Having the time to really hang out with all of the Students and their families was an awesome and refreshing part of the day!  I LOVE enjoying time with the kids (and adults) at events like this one.  I am already looking forward to our Annual Beach Trip!!!  Only 93 days away!

In closing, thank you to all of the families for your continued support and trust.  Allowing myself, my helpers, and my School to be such a part of your children's' lives is truly an honor!  Thank you for that!

Grand Master Summers' East Coast Invitational Tournament Details!!!

Tournament Weekend is August 10th and 11th.  All events to be held at the gymnasium at Ray's Splash Planet in Charlotte.  Details and Directions available. 

Friday, August 10th - Child and Adult SUPER SEMINARS!!!  These are always an AWESOME learning opportunity for the students...and a lot of fun!  Spots fill up fast, so please see the front desk as soon as possible to get information.

Saturday, August 11th - Grand Master Summers' East Coast Invitational - see lobby for schedules and details.  DEADLINE TO REGISTER is Tuesday, August 7th.  No Late Registration available!

Congratulations to ALL the Students who represented us so well at Master Moran's Tournament in Denver last weekend.  You all did an AWESOME Job!  We are all looking forward to Grand Master Summers Tournament on August 11th.  All details are out and available for that AWESOME Weekend!

On a different note, we have TONS of families traveling during July.  While I will miss you, and am happy you all have an opportunity to do all the things you are doing this year.  Please have safe travels, and I will be ready to train with you when you return!

***A Note From Master Berry***

 I would like to personally thank ALL the students and families that came out Saturday to show support to Mr. Best[t].  The workout was AWESOME (as usual) and I hope all the families enjoyed the 'berry style' virtual tour of our new home!  The Bowling was a great way to spend a fun afternoon with and for the kids, as well as take an opportunity to let Mr. Best[t] know we will miss him, we appreciate his service to our School, and appreciate his future service to our country.  We will all look forward to his visits in the future! 

Thank you again for your support in helping me let Mr. Best[t] know we will miss him!

Hello AWESOME Students and Families!

     This past weekend's tournament in NY was AWESOME.   All of the students who competed did an outstanding job, and more importantly represented all of us well.  We say" if you go you grow."  And this weekend it was pretty obvious to watch the growth through competition of all of the students individually. 

     The most important to me is the way in which we act and represent our Instructors and School's; and everyone this weekend did an AWESOME Job!  We will of course have pictures up in the lobby to share the weekend with everyone that wasn't with us!  We are already looking forward to next year!

Hello AWESOME Families!

     This past weekend was a huge success with our Home Tournament and the School's 6 year anniversary party.  The tournaments are always an opportunity to watch the students grow, improve, and learn VERY IMPORTANT lessons.  Thank you to all the families that were able to attend our Home Tournament. 

     The Anniversary Party on Sunday was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!!  Seeing the whole "family" there enjoying the day was incredible.  I would like to thank ALL of the families involved in our School.  A very special thank you to the families that have been here over all the years and watched our "family" and "community" continue to grow...and improve!  In talking with many of the helpers Sunday after the party, it seems most amazing to everyone that as we have grown, the quality of the program has gone up!  I look forward to many more AWESOME years of hard work, training, teaching, learning, and growing.
